I'm so happy to have my girl back home. I'm glad that Beth (ZSH) took such good care of Lanie. Lanie had an illustrious Dressage career, competing up into Prix St. George. As she got older, she started slowing down and didn't seem quite as excited to compete as she used to be. After a lot of thought, I decided it would be best for her to retire and live the rest of her life fat and happy. She has given us some great foals, and I couldn't be happier. Lanie is quite regal and I believe, if she could, that she'd walk around with her nose in the air. For being such a tall mare, she is really dainty. Sometimes she looks like she tip-toes around.
